Ready-made CRM or custom software?
Compare options using the same real workflow. Choose a system that covers the task and remains practical to operate.
Start with the decision
A platform name does not resolve permissions, migration or maintenance. Begin with a sample deal, order and report, the user roles and existing tools. These show where configuration is enough, where integration helps and where a separate application becomes necessary.
An existing CRM suits common contacts, deals, tasks and communications. Integration connects tools already in use. Custom software is justified when essential business logic does not fit the standard model. Sometimes changing one working practice is simpler than adding software.
The work and how to accept it
One scenario for comparison
Test the same roles, data and exceptions in each option.
The full operating cost
Include configuration, licences, migration, integrations, maintenance and supplier dependence.
A bounded first phase
Test the uncertain part before committing to a full rollout.
Scope boundaries
Owning source code does not remove hosting, updates and maintenance costs. A standard platform does not guarantee staff adoption. Either option needs a process owner.
Evidence from our work
Krest-NN demonstrates Bitrix24 configuration for retail sales. DOROGA uses a separate application for orders, fuel and cash. They illustrate different reasons for choosing, rather than a platform ranking.
Open the project and evidencePractical questions
Can we keep our current CRM?
Yes, when its capabilities and permissions support the task. Replacement is not a mandatory project step.
What should we bring to the review?
Describe one order from enquiry to completion, its participants and where control is lost. Do not send passwords or a customer database.
How to start
The initial review is free. A BYstudio specialist or Yan Bunin handles your enquiry. Describe the task, current tools and intended change. We then agree the first phase, price and acceptance criteria under a contract.
